Why is digital exhibition important?
Exhibition is important because it helps to sell the film, also it helps to get to more territories. This encourages customers to go and see a film just for the experience, 3D, HD, and big Screen.
The Digital Screen Network is a £12 million scheme, funded by the National Lottery, It has installed 240 screens in 212 cinemas with state of the art digital projection facilities. As a result, cinema-goers will be able to enjoy a far wider range of films at their local cinema and facilities for people with hearing or sight impairments will be greatly expanded.
4). How are UK films regulated?
The British Board of Film Censors was set up in 1912 by the film industry as an independent body to bring a degree of uniformity to the classification of film nationally.
Statutory powers on film remain with the local councils, which may overrule any of the Board's decisions, passing films we reject, banning films we have passed, and even waiving cuts, instituting new ones, or altering categories for films exhibited under their own licensing jurisdiction.
